我才知道哪急原来是法律专家。
哪急不愧是国家未来领导人，他是马来民族的英雄，87年举剑誓浴华人的血。
当了国防部长大肆添购军备如潜水艇和战斗机，极力提升马来西亚军队的战斗力，不愧是孙子之后的军事专才。
当了财政部长后坚持国家经济不受全球经济风暴影响，又一面强调马来西亚是世界排名第16的贸易国，经济基础稳固，国民无需过敏。
在歌功颂德马来西亚经济稳固当儿，突然间来一个70亿元的经济配套，首要任务是稳住股市。所以50亿的公积金就交给一个没赚过钱的ValueCap来管理。
哪急不愧是管理专才，把政府工程需要招标的下限由2万提高到50万。一下就将政府的效率提高250%。
他也是社会关怀运动的先锋，对屁眼被插的塞阜关怀备至，还拨宝贵的时间替塞阜开解，提供专业咨询服务。
说哪急不是虔诚的回教徒的人应该回家吃蕉忏悔，因为哪急敢在回教堂按着可兰经发誓不认得所有蒙古族的女人。而那个口口声声说自己被陷害的安华却没胆发誓。
哪急当官前是大不列颠国的大学毕业生，爸爸是当时权顷一时的首相，请问有何许人胆敢说他比哪急更适合当国家领导？
以哪急的履历，当美国总统都绰绰有余，想想看美国现任总统当年是街头的小混混，只会高举「改变」的口号便赢得了总统大位。要是哪急不是心在马来西亚而生在美国，他一定会将obama打得落花流水，为世界第一大国的总统。
所以我一直为哪急感到不值，十项全能的他一心一意的为马来西亚，但马来西亚人却不零他的情。

绿林大盗
中国古代，落草为寇者多以拦路为生，喊＂留下买路钱！＂者。
这个行业并没有因为时间而消逝。然而在中国几乎销声匿迹的绿林大盗后代移居到马来西亚，摇身一变，成为了＂国家经济＂的贡献者。
曾几何时，绿林大盗的影响遍布马来西亚，说他们是马来西亚最有影响力的一群实在不为过。
不管是晴天雨天，好景坏景，绿林大盗的生意稳赚不赔。
合约白纸黑字写着，不论如何，都会有人买单。车民过路留下买路钱，你要抗议政府就出动红头兵。
有时「爱民如子」（Kerajaan Prihatin，Caring Government）的政府良心发现，允诺不让绿林大盗起价，决定政府自己掏腰包找数，人民就会高声赞叹，庆幸有这样一个爱心政府。
党团小丑就会一个个跳出来，说是自己争取成功，居功至伟。
听正义至上报说，当年政府和绿林大盗签署大道合约时，政府为了确保绿林大盗能顺利向银号贷款，所以才会签署「不平等条约」。绿林大盗不管盈亏，政府都必须赔款。

国家领导人
记得小时候，老人家对我说：不要怕马来人，不要怕极端的马来领袖，因为他们一旦当家做主，就会中庸起来。

2月23日 当今大马
霹雳州民联原任霹雳行政议员倪可敏（左图）设下最后通牒，若国阵新任州务大臣赞比里不在48小时内解散州议会进行重选，民联将考虑提呈瘫痪国阵州政府的动议。
到底发生了什么事？要是民联认为赞比里是非法的，那下最后通牒要对方解散霹雳州议会是否意味着倪可敏认为赞比里有权解散州议会？霹雳州宪法只允许或州务大臣向苏丹建议解散州议会，倪兄的通牒不就承认了赞比里是州务大臣了吗？
倪兄在倒民联的米，还是另有高招？

2月23日 当今大马
蒲种新明华小拨款风波愈演愈烈！副教育部长魏家祥（左图）今日斩钉截铁否认，他曾恫言撤销原本答应发给新明华小的拨款，以及禁止校长和老师出席新校舍开幕仪式。
魏副部长搞什么的呀？要证明安华说谎还不容易：马上拨款给新明华小不就将安华的“谣言”止住了吗？而且还可以证明安华乱乱讲，好过鼓吹发誓。一举数得，何乐不为呢？
魏副部长倒是提醒了我们，去年11月宣布得经济振兴配套内的华小拨款，教育部到现在还没决定要这么用，真是急惊风却遇上了慢郎中！最近有一所华小因为白蚁而坍塌，不知是不是因为魏副部长的手脚太慢了呢？
魏副部长要等雪州政府确定对新明华小的拨款后才决定是否拨款，和数额多少。天呀！教育部为什么不能跟雪州政府协调协调？还要看到对方出招后再想如何坼招？
更糟糕的是：魏副部长竟然不知国会下议院在野党领袖的官方排位，说新明华小让安华在州务大臣卡力致辞后发表演说是将新明华小的新礼堂开幕仪式政治化。
敢问魏副部长，当首相到柔佛州小学出席仪式时，是首相先柔佛州务大臣致辞呢，还是由首相压轴？
呜呼哀哉！辛辛学子，何其不幸！保重吧！

阿里爸爸的40头尊贵的牛牛
卡力那老头也太不像话啦，竟然在这时候和“比香港廉政公署更有效率、有POWER的马来西亚反贪污委员会”叫阵，而叫阵的起因竟然是阿里爸爸的40头尊贵的牛牛！
卡力可能老了，他以为“比香港廉政公署更有效率、有POWER的马来西亚反贪污委员会”还是当年有气无力的反贪污局。
话说当年的反贪污局，最拿手的就是投诉永远放一边，看到鲨鱼闪一边，遇到鲸鱼躲一边。
当今的“比香港廉政公署更有效率、有POWER的马来西亚反贪污委员会”，都有名给你叫：
“比香港廉政公署更有效率、有POWER的马来西亚反贪污委员会”
上任第一刀就将卡力卡死，用的是，说起来人人都要佩服：
“阿里爸爸的40头尊贵的牛牛”
当然，“比香港廉政公署更有效率、有POWER的马来西亚反贪污委员会”诸公不愧是有脑之人，知道单单只是靠“阿里爸爸的40头尊贵的牛牛”可能卡不死卡力，就临时加菜，外送一单“私器公用车”，看看卡力还能往哪儿逃？
“私器公用车”之意，就是说卡力破坏了规矩，用自己的私家车来办公事，活脱脱的剥了“马赛踢”新公家车、或开“老死来死”公家车才能有效的为人民服务的尊贵的同事们的门牙，让他们无脸见人，你说卡力残忍不残忍！
话说回头，要是 “比香港廉政公署更有效率、有POWER的马来西亚反贪污委员会”能够扳倒卡力的话，搞不好又替那基拿下雪州，那就功德无量了。
但是，卡力这老小子，有名给你叫卡力，会不会越卡越大力？听说卡力火大了，要把前朝的丑事烂事傻事肮脏事都抖出来，两边一来一往，不到最后一分钟都不知道鹿死谁手。

单细胞生物
何谓单细胞生物？猜中有奖！
单细胞生物者，无脑之人也！
有许多的人，徒具人形，但却与单细胞生物无异。
但是，人形单细胞生物却事事要插一脚，惟恐天下人不知他阁下是单细胞。
不幸的是，这些人形单细胞生物却偏偏有许多是我们的社会精英。所谓「精英」，权高位重者也。为何权高位重者被誉为「精英」，那就要问媒体为何只是粉饰太平而不说真话。
单细胞生物的惟一功能就是生存下去，不管环境有多恶劣。
除此之外，单细胞生物的特点是不断的吞噬周围一切可吞不可吞的东西；当然单细胞生物没有记忆，它们只知道特定的动作，50年不变（邓老说的，要不服气找他理论去），不会将之发扬光大，也不会收敛。
最近发生的一连串事件，可以很清楚的看到那一些是人型单细胞生物。
但是，事先声明，本文并不针对任何事件，自己对号入座者，无法度，度不得，也无能为力，保重吧！

Virtual reunion of an old friend
Well, received an email from an old friend, whom I got to know when we started Chinese chatrooms and forums back during the days I was in Sinchew-i.
He was one of the active forumer cum chatroomer, whose comments are often humor but meaningful.
We met a couple of times, and the last we met was a couple of years back.
In his mail to me just now, he was saying that it is fun to screw those MFSOB (look elsewhere to find its meaning, I will not elaborate here) in blog writing.
I replied that it is really fun only if there's none to be screwed.
I do enjoy criticizing people, including myself. But there's not real joy.
When everything is good, no one behave erratically, that's even more fun to be.
I sincerely hope for the day to come where I can bury the F and BAD words for rest of my life.
We shall see the day, God willing.

放眼当下的局势，天下一片混乱。
民仆关心的是自身的利益，跳槽拉倒民选政府的，暗箭伤人的，胡言乱语的，颠倒是非的，你民我主的比比皆是，如恒河沙数，
人人都说为国为民，尽心竭力，道德清高。当中却又有多少人做得到＂民之所欲，常在我心＂？
当今最切身的难题是经济，最难处理的也是经济。人民的生活日益艰难，可是我们供养的尊贵的人民代议士却没一个那得出真本事。
我们看到听到的都是你错我对，有我没你，务必要将对手斗倒斗臭斗垮，誓死方休的红卫兵手段。
进入了21世纪后，人民代议士的水平还停留在20世纪的文化大革命时代。究竟我们做错了什么？为什么我们允许这些拿我们薪水的尊贵的代议士如此这般？而我们却只会躲在黑暗的角落哭诉？
为什么我们不站起来，告诉我们的民仆，我们才是真正当家作主的？
站起来吧！我们不能在任由政客舞弄，我们不能再让他们为所欲为，我们不能够再让他们无止境的操弄下去。
今天开始，实现你梦想的乌托邦吧！

拉惹柏特拉，或被昵称为RPK，今天在今日大马写了可能是他的最後一篇文章：毫不留情: 也许是我最后的告国人书（中文版）（英文原文）。
我不知道马来西亚人怎么看RPK，对我来说，一个为马来西亚的民主和言论自由付出了可能是他和他家人最惨痛的代价：死在牢狱中，永远背负着污名。
我心中只有悲痛、伤心。
他希望他以他的牺牲会唤醒马来西亚人，但他也很清楚的明白马来西亚人是善忘的。
他选择牺牲自己的生命来换取遥不可及的马来西亚人的政治醒觉，虽然知道他的牺牲有非常大的可能会是白费，他还执意的这麽做，为的是什么？
许多人可能不认可他的言行举止，认为他不过是民联，或者是安华的一枚打击国阵的棋子。
但是没有人能够否定，他的存在对马来西亚人的政治醒觉作出了非常大的贡献。
我只能默默的祈祷，祈求全能的上苍护佑着他，让他在有生之年看到马来西亚人民真正的站起来。

向黄洁冰抛石头 - Casting stones on YB Elizabeth Wong
For those who casted stones on YB Elizabeth Wong on her recent incident, who are they to be the Saint to sentence YB Wong that she needs to bear the consequences, hence she should resign?
Saint No.1 is none other than Khir Toyo. He is probably one of the first to throw stones. He questioned YB Wong on her "ethic". What ethic does he means? Make sure you wear cloth and cover your body all the time, even when you sleep, shit, or bath?
And if someone peeping without your knowledge, is it your fault or that someone's fault?
And if someone else adding salt to the wound, like the mighty Khir,, is that someone sinner than the one who leak the photos?
What makes me wonder is why Guang Ming Daily indicate that the suspect of this incident is running away to Indonesia? Isn't Thailand a better choice? Or is it a planned smear action from someone hidden from the back whom have link to Indonesia?
Saint No 2: our infamous Botak made a statement that PR representatives are not ethical as they are suppose to.
Wah! Before the Botak's machai go investigating what actually happening, Botak play the role of God by telling everyone that PR reps are not ethical.
You can surely imagine what is the result of such "investigation".

I was spending a little of my time wondering YouTube, trying to recall some songs that I have lost long ago.
Woody Guthrie's "This land is your land", I was first heard from Bruce Springsteen in his "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Live 1975-1985" of which the album set I found in a music shop in Santa Monica Mall, Los Angeles back in 1992.
This song has changed the way I look at myself and the country I was born and living.

Old favorite revisited - American Pie
非常细心•富有爱心•选举委员会
如果有单位要举办最细心、最有爱心的政府单位选举，我会提名马来西亚选举委员会。
因为选举委员会心疼政党，担心政党因为党选而忽略补选，所以将补选日期定在巫统党选之后。
但是主席说补选日期不是为了巫统党选而定，换句话说就是：＂我们喜欢什么时候补选就什么时候，论不到巫统来影响！＂
果然掷地有声，一副＂我是最高元首委任的主席，我任何帐都不卖，你们可别把我看扁了。＂
我肃然起敬，就在吃晚饭阅读情在人间报读到此头条新闻时高声叫起来，手舞足蹈，兴高采烈，不足表达我心中对主席的敬仰！老婆大人看到我的表情，还以为我中了邪！
再往下读，哎呀！副主席说：＂巫统正在党选，要让政党能舒适的应对补选。＂
我不禁怒发冲冠！咬牙切齿！恨不得将副主席乱＂队＂一番，以示我对主席的敬仰得以发扬光大！让其他小人不得对最高元首委任的主席有丝毫的不敬，胆敢和主席唱反调。
但是，想深一层，情在人间报也实在太过份了，胆敢将两段互打嘴巴的话同时登在一起，还将它当头条新闻用，怕死读者不知，这也太草率一些了，该当何罪！
不过，查证了选举委员会的网站，发觉其实巫统并没有向选举委员会注册，巫统并不是选举委员会认可，可以参加选举的政党。
那么，主席和副主席为什么要左一句巫统如何如何，右一句巫统这般这般呢？
想到这里，又不其然心生敬佩之心，对于主席和副主席对没注册的政党爱护有加。想必他们对已注册的政党想必是更加疼爱，所谓爱之深，对已注册的政党一定有更高的要求。
所以我说，民联诸公，不要对选举委员会诸多批评，你们的主席副主席还疼爱着你们呢！
因为选举委员会心疼政党，担心政党因为党选而忽略补选，所以将补选日期定在巫统党选之后。
但是主席说补选日期不是为了巫统党选而定，换句话说就是：＂我们喜欢什么时候补选就什么时候，论不到巫统来影响！＂
果然掷地有声，一副＂我是最高元首委任的主席，我任何帐都不卖，你们可别把我看扁了。＂
我肃然起敬，就在吃晚饭阅读情在人间报读到此头条新闻时高声叫起来，手舞足蹈，兴高采烈，不足表达我心中对主席的敬仰！老婆大人看到我的表情，还以为我中了邪！
再往下读，哎呀！副主席说：＂巫统正在党选，要让政党能舒适的应对补选。＂

报纸今天写说首相会在3月31日将位子传给哪急，而哪急将会在愚人节主持当上首相的第一次内阁会议。
不知道是那一个大整蛊，害到哪急要在愚人节接棒。
不知道在当天的内阁会议会不会有什么政策性的决策？而这些决策会不会被人民当成是玩笨的呢？
要是那天愚人内阁的愚人决策是2700亿的经济复苏配套，人人有份，永不落空，我当一马当先，登高望北三呼：
愚主万岁万万岁
愚人配套利愚民
人人有份笑哈哈
哪急果然真明主
出手大方兼大款

霹雳州国阵州务大臣宣布委任3名＂行政顾问＂地位等同州行政议员。
马来西亚近年来最热门的职业是：
顾问
先有前妇女及社会发展部长撒梨渣受委为具部长地位的同部门顾问後，霹雳州变天後国阵将此举发扬光大。
我说我的妈呀，我也是小小的一个顾问。
放眼身边的朋友，许多也是顾问：
灵异界的朋友是风水顾问；
医科毕业、主攻半人半机械的（cyberorg）现在是电脑安全顾问；
从事广告业的是市场顾问；
做翻译的是语文顾问；
做新闻的是时事顾问；
清洁业的是卫生顾问；
旅游业的是休闲顾问；
教师是教育顾问；
搞政治但无缘当官的朋友是政治顾问；
。。。。。。。

选举劳民伤财？
霹雳州变天，众人议论纷纷，说三道四，指指点点，包括我这个白头老。
一说跳槽该死，一说民联活该，一说国阵玩臭，一说苏丹英明，一说王室干政。
总之，天天新款，千变万化，眼花缭乱，不知所谓，胡言乱语（我在说我自己，别对号入座）！
但是，吸引我的是有人说「选举劳民伤财」，我欲哭无泪，无语问苍天。心里暗想：是不是说这句话的人头壳派料，还是他们本来都不投票，也没权投票，怎么胆子这么大，比宪法还大？
话说选举，乃宪法赋予人民的基本权利，喜欢不喜欢，都要定时举行选举。
就连专制国家如缅甸，军人政府不是一样要举行选举，还政于民一番，以示公正合法。
反对霹雳州重选的论调莫过于现在经济困难，选举劳民伤财，人民自顾不暇，没空投票。
但是，选举要是可以因为经济而放在一边，可以因为＂劳民伤财＂而押后，又或可以因为人民没兴趣而让路，那为何还要选举投票？
不如玩大小定江山，省时省力又省钱，大家还可以跟风投注，搞不好还可能发一笔赌大小之财，到时人人赌大小，选举干他娘！

中华民族的礼仪廉耻
刚刚读到吉打州行政议员阿鲁姆甘因为不堪国阵＂要挟跳槽＂的压力，宣布辞去行政议员及州议员席位，为补选铺路。
令我感触的是阿鲁姆甘是印裔友族，而非深受五千年历史文化熏陶的中华民族。
不论阿鲁姆甘是否曾经念过中文，又或者印度文化中的礼仪廉耻要比中华民族的更好更能入脑，不能否定的是阿鲁姆甘的确比行动党的两名华裔州议员更懂得什么是礼仪廉耻。
对不起，弄错了，一位是行动党的前议员兼州议会副议长许月风，另一个是口口声声说如果州政府坚持推行＂令华族不安的政策＂，他将会考虑跳槽到国阵的林思年。
我的妈呀！原来华裔议员已经升华到利用要挟而不是阿鲁姆甘的礼仪廉耻了。
现在我终于明白，华人不愧是做大生意的，礼仪廉耻干他娘去！

要是当年阿里爸爸40大盗仓惶逃离家园，飞奔宝岛学习种田时，如果遇到九霄惊魂，住饭店遇到火烧摩天楼，农场学习是遇到疯牛，人在宝岛时又有日本沉没，转飞东方之猪时遇到大飓风，连一根毛都飘不回来，加上没买旅游保险，渣都没得剩时，那才是三生有辛，苍天有眼！
到时40补选一起来，看看那鸡还能耍啥花样？

当权者怕的是啥？
当权者最怕的是什么？
五年一次的大选？
什么原因令你觉得他们会依据宪法解散议会，还政于民？
经济不景？
经济好不好景对他们来说都没问题。经济好固然大家都好，经济不好只会是人民生活困难。经济不好得话要发达更容易，宣布多几个刺激经济配套，他们还是袋袋平安。民间疾苦吗？明天再说吧！
人民造反？
看死马来西亚人驯如绵羊，任搓任捏，造反？给你们豹子胆都不敢。
人民都只要Cari Makan，管他谁当权！
不信？许月凤就是人版。
所以，一旦当权，什么都不必怕。
人民太容易搞定，Everything will be all right man, everything will be all right!
伤心以後，应该如何？
接到一些朋友的电话、短讯，都在骂许某人真小人也。然后接着会问：「现在应该怎么办？」
回头看一看，其实许的动作微不足道，可怕的是幕后操刀人。
想一想，让大家矛头指向许的幕后人也许在得意洋洋的偷笑：「这群傻瓜果然如此」
我们「兴高采烈」的极力配合，全民操干许，忽略了背后隐藏更大的危机。
人人都说，下届大选回给不尊重民意的夺权者好看。
但是，当权者会不会傻到等到大选来让人民还击？
我们是否天真的以为我们可以通过大选来教训？
当民意都可以强奸时，他们还会在乎你的选票？
当宗教场地都可以发射催泪弹或摧毁时，我们能期望他们会有慈悲心吗？

还政于民！
霹雳变天，给我们上了一课宝贵的政治现实课。
事情的演变，让我们清楚的看到我们的理想和意愿在当权者和所谓的人民代议士看来并不是如他们一直卦在口中的＂民之所欲，常在我心＂。
当事情发生後，我们看到的是活脱脱的一幕闹剧。
双方人马公开的互数对方的不是，务必要使对方斗臭斗垮，或者对跳槽者鞭挞或辩护。
胜利者一味的以合乎宪法的说词辩护，而失败者却要人民裁决谁才应该当家。
问题是：当宪法与民意相左时，何以为重？
宪法和法律的存在及功能是确保人民的权益，或者可以说是用来确保大多数人的利益。当民意要求重选时，当权者应用宪法绕过民意的做法已经违背了宪法精神。
在此看来，巧妙的利用宪法条文来达到私己的目的，都不是一直以来所提倡的宪法精神。
小至跳槽者说他的选民支持他跳槽，或跳槽後选区才能有实质的发展，都是为自己的动作自圆其说，并没有民意的支持。
大至掌权者说宪法赋予他一旦有多数的议员支持就可执政，而没有通过民意的考验，在我看来也不符合宪法精神。
要是人民被动的接受没有民意基础的作法，那就会给当权者一个＂人民不再乎＂的讯息。当权者是否会因此严本加疠， 认为民意不需受到尊重，以後如有机会就如法炮制。到时会不会有如台湾两蒋时代的万年国会？
当初制定宪法的先贤或许没有预见会有这麽一天，但这并不表示他们会同意当权者的做法。
最符合宪法精神的做法，就是还政于民！

这次的霹雳州变天，行动党要负起最大的责任。而接下来的发展，更令我对行动党的反应感到非常失望。
现在，几乎所有的人都在痛骂许月凤，骂得最凶的不是别人，而是行动党人！
但是，行动党人有资格如此吗？我觉得这是一种开脱的反应。
是谁派许月凤打州议员？行动党！
是谁推举许月凤当州议会副议长？行动党！
那，当许月凤一跳，跳到对头怀抱里时，行动党人就把问题都推倒许的身上，与她划清界限。
但是，冰冻三尺，非一日之寒。许月凤之前公开对行动党发的牢骚，难道行动党的领导就没有意识到许月凤已经出了问题吗？
不说以前，就拿许月凤跳车前公开与党秘书长林冠英对干时，难道行动党就没有任何防备吗？
当许月脱跑了，跳了，行动党人就绘声绘影的说许是吴三桂，是走狗汉奸。或说许得到好处，被对方收买了。更有行动党人说许在副首相拿鸡的新闻发布会上显得心事重重只为了要让大家看到她相似有难言之隐，其实心里不知有多高兴。
有多难听的话都说了，就是没法挽回丢掉了的政权。那，这些话除了发泄和给自己开脱以外，都与事无补。就是搞不懂为何行动党上下只会干许而不自己干自己！
相比之下，回教党、甚至公正党，在处理这起事件的手法比行动党来得成熟。
对！我就这麽认为：

Perak! Oh Perak!
The Perak high drama is a good lesson to all of us.
For those who wanted a CHANGE, the reality is: you don't get what you wanted, you get what your employee planned and think what you deserved.
Is there a respect to the voters voting those who defected? NO! there's no respect at all!
Defectors may claim that they win they seat not because of other factor but themselves. Well, if that's the case, why not let the voters show if it is correct?
My humble experience back in 1999 was that I don't even know who is the candidate of the Opposition but I have voted for him, although he lost.
Other than personal image, isn't the political party those defectors once associated with helping them to win the seat?
Well, most may argue that opposition candidates received no aids, especially financial aids from their party, and they have to foot the bills.
But aren't those volunteers who helped to campaign days and nights with no material returns be counted for contribution from the political party?
Aren't those who donated to these defectors to help funding the election campaign donated because they know who the candidates are? My answer is quite simple: NO! Those who donated because the party organize fund raising activities, and the public responded to the call. Not because you have been in the party for 20+ years that everyone should know you and give you what you need to campaign.
What the donors, the volunteers, the voters who voted for you, and those who have openly voice their support to you, your party, wanted to see is good leadership by example, work for the people instead of your ownselves, and be brave to seek for fresh mandate should you decide on 180 degree U turn during your political journey.
Those who defected failed to recognize the fact that they are no one if voters not voted for them. They failed to remember it is their party who field them instead of others. They failed to realized that the fundemental of Democracy that the Rakyat is the BOSS and not them.
They even failed to realized that they have been keeping afloat funded by the Rakyat and not themselves.
They should be shamed for what they have done when defecting from one side to the other, that they have betryed those who trusted them.
And for BN and PR "manages", do your duty as given by the Rakyat. We are in the midst of the unprecedented worst ever economic situation and you guys instead giving us this free show that will hurt us further!

the Perak Drama - What's the point of having elections in the future?
What's the point of having elections in the future, for Perak and the Nation, if the Rakyat cannot have a say on the recent Perak Drama?
Should there be a law stating that all representatives will be for life, and hop if they can, do what they like, etc.?
Isn't this save public fund as running elections cost money as some may argue?
So why not make it permanent State Assembly or Parliament, membership for life?
This will make everyone's life simple, I guess.
Perak - Where are you, Rakyat?
The situation in Perak is now a direct conflict between the 2 political camps, BN and PR. Whatever happening, and whatever decision the Sultan made whether to consent for a snap election, or to accept BN as the majority, we are still waiting.
But there's no role for the Rakyat to play..
The Rakyat voted for their respective state assembly persons, of whom some of these so called YB are using their YB as their own asset, do what they wanted, but have totally ignoring the fact that it is us, yes, all of us, who have voted them in the election.
Our employee claimed that they do it for the best interest of their constituency, but have they ever consult any one of us? Have they ever?
Switching camp is not a bad thing if the Rakyat who endorsed the YBs is known and acknowledged that it is in fact better.
And how would the Rakyat endorse or acknowledge? By conducting a poll, or simply, a by-election.
Thus, if a representative where to switch camp, he/she should first resign from his YB seat, then seek for fresh mandate.
But now, you and me, the Rakyat being sodomised by all parties, cannot even have a say in the whole drama.
Brother, don't forget the Rakyat pay all of you, including the one who claimed appointed by the King, who refused a by-election.
So the one who pay have no say, and those whom we pay to work for us are riding on our heads.
Conclusion:
You just foot the bill, don't ask how the money is spent.
They will tell you better not to have election because election is going to be expensive. But if you are the boss and you want it, can your employee tell you that you cannot spend??
If the Rakyat just keep quiet, it will be taking for granted. then why in the first place we should have election? Why not write in our Constitution like Chairman Mao did, that Chairman Mao is the Chairman of People's Republic of China, period.
What a crazy world we have..

Protectionism vs liberalization
Read an aritcle recently on protectionism where a country protect their infant industry by imposing high import duties to products of similar nature from competing with the locally made products.
This is evidence in Malaysia where car industry, for example, is protected by high import duties and approved permits (AP, where only AP holders are allowed to import cars at a quota).
Since 1980s, the then Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad driving the nation to industrial age by creating the first car manufacturing industry, Proton.
Proton was given preferences and priority when the nation formulated it's economic policy.
This is a clear example of protectionism where industry are protected and hence enjoy extraordinary benefits as compare to other industries. The benefits includes low cost on raw materials, high selling prices yet lower than competitors' artificially created prices due to unfair import duties and restrictions on number of units to be imported.
The government, when defending their move on protectionism, also giving the excuse where local industries is to be cultivated and nurtured before it faces competition. Eventually the consumers are the one who stand to loose as they are forced to pay higher for often sub-quality products.
This, it is the consumers who protects the industry, not the government as claimed by many.
But is this the best way to cultivate a given industry?
Should the nation suffers for an industry or two just because they need to be protected?
Let's look back on how Spartan train their kids. Upon growing up to a certain age, the kid is thrown to a jungle and if he survive, he is declared as a grown up man, else he is not fit to live on earth.
We may not go to this extreme but we shall review whether we need protectionism to maintain our industry?
If the given industry is too costly to maintain, shall we still go on to protect them and consumers in turns paying thru their nose?
If there's no barrier for foreign products to compete with the local products, the local manufacturers will either do their best to improve the quality of their products; or they failed and be eliminated from the game. This may sound cruel but it is the game of survival that we are talking about. Instead of dragging the whole nation, like what was happened to India until the 90's where most industries are protected, at the expense of the people, we should allow our industries to face the real world instead, and it should not cost the nation generations to pay for the industries.
This is evidence in Malaysia where car industry, for example, is protected by high import duties and approved permits (AP, where only AP holders are allowed to import cars at a quota).
Since 1980s, the then Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad driving the nation to industrial age by creating the first car manufacturing industry, Proton.

Who really care about economy?
With the dramatic political development in Perak, where the whole nation is watching, who really care about what will hit the Malaysia Economy in days to come?

I read the Star's (the Star?? Yes la!) MB meets Sultan, speaker meets EC (Update 3) today.
I am starting to wonder if the two state assemblymen cum State Excos behave like woman..
They claimed they signed undated resignation letter to their party, PKR, right after the General Election, and they signed under duress.
Hey friend!!! If you are under pressure, why should you sign? Why not you signed first, then came out and announced that the letter is void as you signed under duress in the past months?
Why when the letter is formally use, then you said you were under duress?
Why you hold until now if you are not happy with signing the letter?
If you are happy signing the letter at the point the letter was signed, then why you complain now?

Please give us your best candidates, not like these kind of people. I wonder where is their principle?
If you cannot, then you better don't talk about taking over the Federal Government!
Current political situation in Perak
The recent Perak state drama where one state assemblyman from UMNO crossed over to Pakatan Rakyat, followed by 2 State Executive Councillors from Pakatan Rakyat rumoured that they will cross over to UMNO is messing up the situation.
Both sides seems to do their best to lure the oppisite representatives crossing over to their side, but none really care how the people feel about the whole drama.
I would suggest to dissolve the State Assembly, and have a snap election to allow people of Perak to decide on which side should be their care taker instead.
Both Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional should have the guts to face the verdict by the people they claimed representing.
Some said it may be too heavy the prize to conduct an election for Pakatan Rakyat as they are currently the ruling regime of the state. Some said it is better to solve the taggling problem once and for all and if given the 2 recent by-election results, Barisan Nasional should have no chance of winning.
My concern is more on who should decide on which party to lead the state, be it Barisan or Pakatan.
Let the people decide. Yes, the people should decide instead.
