the Perak Drama - What's the point of having elections in the future?

What's the point of having elections in the future, for Perak and the Nation, if the Rakyat cannot have a say on the recent Perak Drama?

Should there be a law stating that all representatives will be for life, and hop if they can, do what they like, etc.?

Isn't this save public fund as running elections cost money as some may argue?

So why not make it permanent State Assembly or Parliament, membership for life?

This will make everyone's life simple, I guess.
